The UK Concrete Show 2018

UK Concrete show 2018 dates have been announced. The show will be held on the 21st & 22nd March 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham.

We report most years on the Concrete Show because it’s a concentrated event that deals specifically with concrete and all that’s concrete related.

And although there is not much in the way of paving products you do get a wider knowledge of new concrete innovations. As well as new & existing machinery involved in making, laying and preserving concrete. In 2018 the UK Concrete Show will have 180 exhibitors. If you register for the show tickets are free. If the 2018 show is good as the 2017 event, lovers of concrete are in for a treat.

You Can Find Paving Related Products at The Concrete Show

Just because it’s called the concrete show does not mean you can’t find anything paving related. You can find enough paving related products and machinery to make it worthwhile if you have a good look around. Last year I remember there was a German company that manufactured a block paving machine that cost over one million pounds. The company boss was very helpful when I spoke to him. He talked me through the process of how the machine could produce hundreds of square meters a day of block paving. How efficient and Eco-friendly the production process was. Although I think he quickly realized I wasn’t going to be a buyer when I pulled out my iPhone 4 with a cracked screen (I think we were on iPhone 7 at the time).

There was also a very helpful chemical company that manufactured sealers for concrete paving in various colors. Belle machinery were there with a big selection of machines they manufacture. The Belle stand had a range of mixers to plate compactors.

Whilst at the Concrete Show you will find many seminars being held. Some subjects may be of interest to you or your company. There is a wide range of subjects covered in the seminars. Talks around how cement is manufactured to how molds can be used. This years seminars include many different subjects. Some of these talks are as diverse as “What can’t you do with concrete” to talks about “how ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) can be used to reduce the carbon emissions in concrete”.

The concrete Show 2018 will see exhibitors such as Husqvarna who manufacture stone saws among other things. Probst handling equipment. Which is a stand always worth visiting to view some of the amazing equipment you can buy to help lift & lay paving. Power-Sprays for a selection of sprayers. And companies like the Italian company Brunello Stampi who manufacture a range of metal molds to make paving slabs, pavers and blocks.
